I’m Lakshmi, a 4th-year Pharm D student. While studying pharmacy, I wanted to explore a more specialized career path in the healthcare field. After doing some research and seeing posts on social media, I came across medical coding and was really drawn to its important role in the healthcare system. Through a friend, I found out that Tech Mahindra Foundation was sponsoring a free medical coding course at FIDES Institute. I didn’t want to miss this chance, so I joined the course while continuing my regular studies. In the beginning, the course felt quite difficult and overwhelming. But I didn’t want to give up. I made up my mind to complete it with full confidence. I started forming study groups with my classmates, and we would meet even on Saturday evenings and Sundays.
