On the occasion of World Environment Day, FIDES organized a vibrant and meaningful celebration on June 5, 2025, beginning at 9:40 AM. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about environmental protection and encourage sustainable practices through creativity and community engagement.

The program commenced with a warm welcome to the students, who were then divided into nine groups to participate in a poster-making competition on the theme “Save Water.” Students demonstrated great enthusiasm and teamwork. Their posters reflected not only artistic creativity but also deep thought and concern for the environment. The messages highlighted the importance of water conservation and the consequences of water scarcity. The competition was judged by Father William .Sr. Fathima and Ms. Deepthi, who carefully assessed each group’s work based on creativity, message clarity, and presentation.

FIDES was honoured to host representatives from Ranger Apparel, whose presence brought encouragement and inspiration to the students. Their active participation showcased the value of collaboration between educational institutions and socially responsible businesses.

At 11:00 AM, the guests and students participated in a sapling planting activity within the FIDES campus. The activity served as a practical demonstration of environmental care and responsibility, with students learning about the long-term benefits of afforestation and the role of trees in combating climate change.In a generous gesture, the Ranger Apparel team provided and personally distributed gifts to the winners of the poster competition, bringing smiles and a sense of achievement to the young participants. They also distributed eco-friendly items such as reusable water bottles and cloth bags, reinforcing the message of sustainability.

To further celebrate the day, delicious snacks were served to all attendees, which created a warm and festive atmosphere. The informal interactions between students and guests during this time helped build confidence and a sense of community.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Vandana, who acknowledged the collective efforts of the students, staff, and Ranger Apparel team. She emphasized the importance of nurturing environmental values in young minds and encouraged everyone to continue making small but meaningful contributions towards a greener planet.
