DAY-01

On 11/04/26, summer camp for migrant children was successfully conducted at FIDES on the 11th.The program commenced at 10:00 AM with the registration of participants. The camp began by invoking God’s presence through a prayer song, setting a positive and spiritual tone for the day.

The sessions were led by Sr. Jacintha, who guided the children through various informative and engaging topics. The first session focused on goal setting, followed by a session on how to succeed in life. The children were also taught action songs and participated in a fun “cat dance,” which created a lively and joyful atmosphere. Further sessions included important values such as hard work, self-discipline, and honesty. These were taught interactively through songs, activities, and group participation, helping the children to understand and enjoy the learning process.

The children showed great enthusiasm and eagerness to learn throughout the sessions.

At 1:00 PM, lunch was provided to all the children, and they enjoyed the meal together. After lunch, group games were conducted, which encouraged teamwork and active participation. The children actively engaged in the games and later joined in group dancing, expressing their happiness and energy. We are also grateful to the sponsors who generously contributed gifts for the children.

These gifts brought great joy and excitement, making the day even more special and memorable for them. The camp concluded on a joyful note, with the children returning home happily after a day filled with learning, fun, and meaningful experiences.

DAY-02

The second day of the summer camp for migrant children at FIDES was held on 12th April 2026. The program began at 10:00 AM with registration, followed by a prayer song to invoke God’s blessings and begin the day on a positive note.

The sessions for the day included important topics such as personal hygiene and cleanliness, where the children were taught practical tips to maintain good habits in their daily lives.

This was followed by an action song to keep the children active and engaged. A meaningful story about parents was also shared, helping the children understand the importance of respecting and valuing their parents. The session concluded with another action song and a lively dance. At 1:00 PM, lunch was provided, and the children enjoyed the meal together. After lunch, there was a short interactive session where children participated in solo dances, showcasing their talents and building confidence.

Following this, a dance competition was organized among different centres. All centres actively participated, making the event vibrant and exciting. Group games were also conducted, encouraging teamwork and enthusiasm among the children.

Gifts were distributed to the best participants, and prizes were awarded to the winners of the group dance competition. Ice creams were also given to all the children, adding to their joy and excitement.

The program concluded with Sr.Sumi expressing her gratitude to all the volunteers and presenting them with a small token of appreciation for their service.

The day ended on a happy and fulfilling note, with children leaving the camp with joyful memories and valuable learning experiences.
