Add India Training On Skilling Of Unemployed Youth, Especially Wowen
On 11 February 2026, ADD India organized a training program for unemployed youth, with a
special focus on empowering women through skill development and business transformation.
The guest lecturers for the session were Mrs. Sumathi and Mr. Sugumaran, both of whom shared
valuable insights and guidance with the participants.
The program began with a warm welcome and an introduction of the guest speakers. Mr.
Sugumaran, who has served as a Chief Administrator and General Manager in an IT company,
conducted an interactive warm-up session where participants introduced themselves, creating a
lively and engaging learning environment.
The training focused on business transformation through skill development. The speakers shared
knowledge on various business models, legal requirements for starting a business, self-driven
entrepreneurship, and eligibility for government schemes.
In the first session, Mr. Sugumaran spoke on poverty alleviation at the micro level, highlighting
the importance of passion, market awareness, and personal capability. He addressed the
challenges of poverty in India and emphasized that opportunities exist through people,
knowledge, skills, and good health.
He also spoke about the importance of faith and perseverance in driving business transformation,
even at a small scale, and encouraged participants to find solutions to societal challenges.
After a lunch break, participants returned energized for the second session, where micro-business
transformation models suitable for both small and large enterprises were explained. Mrs.
Sumathi contributed by motivating participants, sharing practical insights, and encouraging
women to take leadership roles in entrepreneurship and self-employment.
The session concluded with an open forum where participants actively asked questions and
clarified their doubts. The program ended with tea and snacks, along with an interactive
discussion, leaving participants inspired, confident, and motivated to pursue sustainable
livelihood opportunities.
