FIDES hosted a productive session with NCP (Neighbourhood Children's Parliament) animators in the presence of Sr Mary Rani, on 3rd May 2024. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the purpose of NCP, effective engagement strategies for children, and plan upcoming activities to enrich the experiences of the children.

Ms. Vandana and Mr. Christy, provided a comprehensive explanation of NCP, outlining its objectives, structure, and significance in empowering children and promoting community engagement. The discussion highlighted the procedural aspects of NCP.

Strategies to keep children engaged and enthusiastic about NCP activities were discussed. Examples and best practices were shared by Sr Mary Rani, focusing on interactive and participatory approaches to learning and empowerment.

A comprehensive agenda for upcoming activities were discussed. The planned activities aim to celebrate important events and promote awareness on various social issues. Key events included Environment Day, Talent Show, Speech on Freedom Fighters, Child Rights Awareness, Sports Day, Children's Day, Christmas, Water Rally, and Summer Camp.

The animators were served with some refreshments and departed.
