QUEST is FIDES’s flagship employability-and life-skills program since 2016, designed to uplift young people, women, and marginalized communities in Bengaluru through a blend of practical training, personal growth, and social awareness. At FIDES, we believe that empowering individuals with both technical skills and soft skills is essential for meaningful, long-term employment, dignity, and community transformation.
In QUEST, participants engage in a structured, hands-on curriculum that includes: English communication (speaking, listening, reading, writing), customer interaction & retail skills, digital literacy & data entry, life skills such as decision making, time management, and self-confidence, job readiness (resume building,

interview preparation, workplace etiquette), and gender awareness (equality, respectful conduct, inclusion). The program begins with an assessment of each individual’s current skill levels and confidence, so we can tailor support and ensure that everyone advances, no matter their starting point.

Training happens through workshops, role-plays, real-world simulations, exposure visits, and mentorship sessions. For example, participants may practice mock customer interactions, get one-on-one coaching for interviews, carry out data entry tasks similar to those in actual offices, and participate in group discussions on gender and inclusion. FIDES leverages its network of community centers (for example those in Ulsoor, Kaverinagar, Bandapura and other neighbourhoods) to create safe, accessible spaces for learning. We also link QUEST graduates with internship opportunities and job fairs organized by FIDES, to help bridge the final gap between training and employment. Because QUEST is more than just a course: it is about transformation. Participants often report not just better skills, but greater confidence, clearer goals, more professional behaviour, and stronger communication ability. Many who complete QUEST find work in retail, customer service, back-office or administrative roles; some begin their own income generation, and others continue to build on the foundation QUEST provides, seeking further training or education.
