POSTER MAKING COMPETITION ON ANTI-DRUG DAY AT FIDES

News & Events

On June 26, Thursday, FIDES organized a meaningful and creative event to mark International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking—a Poster Making Competition. The event was conducted to raise awareness among students about the harmful effects of drugs and to encourage them to spread the message of a drug-free society.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various batches. With great energy and creativity, students designed thought-provoking and colourful posters based on themes such as “Chase your dream not your drugs”, Say No to Drugs,” “Life is Better Without Drugs,”“Choose Life Not Drugs “Drugs are not cool” Break the chain and stop drugs”, “Against drug abuse and illicit trafficking” Each poster carried a powerful message, creatively expressed through drawings, slogans, and symbols.

After completing their posters, students were invited to explain the concept and theme behind their artwork to a panel of judges. It was heartening to see the level of understanding and awareness the students displayed. They confidently spoke about the consequences of drug abuse and the importance of mental and physical well-being, linking it with the social responsibility each individual holds in fighting drug addiction.

The panel of judges included faculty members and special guests who evaluated the posters based on creativity, clarity of message, originality, and presentation skills. After careful observation and discussion, the judges selected the top three posters that stood out in terms of both artwork and the impact of the message conveyed.

The winners were awarded prizes as a token of appreciation and encouragement. All participants received warm appreciation for their efforts and active involvement.

This activity not only allowed students to showcase their artistic talents but also served as a powerful platform to educate and create awareness on the significance of living a drug-free life. The event concluded with a group photo session and words of encouragement from the faculty to continue spreading positivity and awareness in their communities.

The day truly reflected the spirit of creativity and social responsibility among the youth.
